What is Deadrop?

The game Deadrop is First-Person Shooter with a first-ever Vertical Extraction Shooter (VES) mechanic made by Midnight Society. The addition of VES mechanics aside from the already familiar battle-royale style made the fans excited about what it can offer and wanted to get early access to the game. The game is not yet released and the team didn’t mention the release date of their public launch yet. They also held an event in which they called Snapshot where famous YouTubers had early access and tried the Deadrop game. It was interesting, chaotic, and definitely fun. Since the game Deadrop is only at its early stage, there were some glitches and bugs but understandable. Founders Pass is an NFT from Midnight Society in which holders have the benefits of not only early access to the game Deadrop, but also voting rights on game features, exclusive access to studio events, and first acquisition of merchandise. Although Founders Pass holders have access to the game, there are no advantages to those who don’t have the NFT. Meaning even you, as a free-to-play player, will definitely enjoy and be competitive when they release the game. Even though the Deadrop game is only available for Founders Pass NFT holders only for now, you don’t have to worry because the team assures that the game will be free to play once the Deadrop game’s public launch is released.

Are there any pre-requisite to playing the game, such as metamask wallet, etc.?

Since Deadrop is still in the early stage, no wallet is required to play the game. The only requirement to participate and play the game is to have the Founders Pass NFT. They released 10,000 Founders Pass given to those who minted it for only $50 USD and got access to the game Deadrop right away and played the game.

What advantage do pay-to-play or NFT purchasers have over free-to-play?

Founders Pass holders have early access to the game, voting rights, access to exclusive events, and priority for merchandise purchase. But they don’t have any advantages in-game which makes the game fair even if you don’t have the NFT.

Can free-to-play players be competitive or enjoy the game?

This is the good thing about the game Deadrop, they didn’t make this game pay to win, at least for now. It’s true that those who have Founders Pass have early access to the game and may get familiarized with the game. But the absence of advantages for those who have NFTs in-game makes Deadrop fair and competitive for all of us.
