A Beginner’s Guide to Start Playing Medabots

In this forum post, we'll give new players a fundamental grasp of Medabots as we walk them through Medabots' mechanics, Medabots various play styles, and the deck creation process in Medabots.

At first,  new players must play the Adventure mode to obtain Medabots, which can be acquired by clearing a few stages. After collecting at least three Medabots, you can start to battle against online players and compete in the leaderboard.

Any Medabots that can be obtained in Adventure mode can also be purchased on the marketplace. The Medabots pieces bought on the marketplace can have the same statistics as the ones earned in Adventure mode. The difference between them is the earning potential of Medabots parts, which can yield higher rewards. Suppose you want to play multiplayer mode as soon as possible and want to spend less time gathering Medabots parts with better stats in the Adventure. In that case, you can start by purchasing Medabots or new Medaparts at the marketplace, where you can choose on your own what stat of Medabot part you want and rarity that can yield higher rewards.

What are the basics of the game?

Now let's talk about the basics of Medabots. First, you can create your Medabots with Medaparts. Basic Medaparts can be earned in-game. Every Medapart you own generates a card to use in fights during the game. And guess what? Each Medabot has its stats too. We can power up its Hit Points, Attack, Defense, or Speed using Medaparts with the exact stats we're after. Pretty cool, right?

When constructing new Medabots, it is important to consider the different families of robots. Robots are created using specific pieces, and a piece from each part of the body is required to assemble a complete robot. Notably, pieces from different families cannot be combined in the same robot. The complete setup of robots includes a Core, a Right Arm, a Left Arm, and Legs. Each piece contributes two cards, forming your deck for the game.

The Medabots families consist of Humanoid, Flying, and Spiders. These families play a role in determining the characteristics and abilities of the Medabots.

ROBOTS  STATISTICS

  • HP: When a Medabot's health points hit 0, it's done. It's game over.

  • Attack: Robots part packs a punch with its base damage, which gets stronger based on the robot's attack stat. So, the higher the attack, the bigger the damage it deals.

  • Defense: Cards have a protective shield value, which matches Medabot's defense stat. It's like having an extra layer of armor. The higher the defense, the better the shield.

  • Speed: This one determines the attack order of the Medabots. The faster the Medabot, the quicker it gets to strike. It's all about being swift and taking charge.

Building a Medabots Team

In Medabots, robots have different Medaparts or pieces corresponding to a card, except for the core piece, which has two associated cards. At the beginning of a battle, a deck of cards is formed, containing two copies of each card for each piece, except for the core part, which has only one copy. Since robots have four parts, this results in 8 cards per robot. Two different cards are allocated to the core, and two identical cards are assigned to each of the other pieces. Therefore, the initial deck comprises a total of 24 cards.

These cards are categorized into three types:

  • Attack (red) -  deal physical and ability damage to opponents' medabots.

  • Power (yellow) - enhances either attack or defense card abilities of your medabots.

  • Defense (blue) - boost the defense of your medabots (HP, Shield).

You need to win fights and gather a bunch of new Medaparts with unique skills and abilities to build a strong new Medabot.

Identifying Win Conditions and Tips.

Knowing about Medabots fundamentals, including synergies between Medabots and Medaparts and identifying the opponent's strengths/weaknesses, is key to winning. Much like the game Axie, each player has three Medabots in the field. You win the game once you destroy all of your opponent’s Medabots. To achieve it, at the start of the game, assess all your opponent’s Medabots, so you can decide which robot you should kill first to weaken the opponent’s army. Time your moves strategically and predict your opponent's actions. Create combos by chaining multiple moves together. The gameplay is similar for the league, multiplayer, and adventure modes.

Creating winning or lethal movements requires strategic preparation, knowledge of your Medabots' capabilities, and situational adaptation. Lastly, always experiment and create your playstyle, which you can use as an ace up on your sleeve.
